Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Planeat mobile app and related services ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Planeat.
Your account
You sign in to Planeat using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your Google credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. When you invite household members or a cook/helper, you confirm you have their permission to do so.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Planeat only for its intended purpose — planning meals and coordinating your household. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
- Use the Service to send spam or harass other users.
Your content
Meal plans, recipes, notes, and other content you create remain yours. You grant Planeat the limited permission needed to store, display, and sync that content to you and the household members and helpers you share it with, so we can provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you add.
A free service
Planeat is currently free to use, and we do not show ads. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we ever do, we will make any charges clear before you opt in, and your existing data will remain accessible.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements. Meal suggestions, nutritional assumptions, and recipes are provided for convenience and are not professional dietary or medical advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Planeat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero.
Termination
You may stop using Planeat and delete your account at any time through the Account & Data Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or the Service itself.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Planeat after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
