You're in control of your data. You can permanently delete your Planeat account and the information associated with it at any time by sending us a request โ a one-tap option inside the app is on the way. This page explains how to do it, exactly what gets removed, and how long it takes.
Request deletion by email
To delete your Planeat account and all associated data, send us a request and we'll handle it for you.
Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your Google Sign-In, with the subject line "Delete my Planeat account". We may ask one verification question to confirm it's really you, then permanently delete your account and data on the timeline below. This action cannot be undone.
In-app deletion (coming soon)
We're adding a Delete account option directly inside Planeat, under Profile โ Settings โ Account. Until it ships, please use the email request above โ it removes exactly the same data on exactly the same timeline.
What gets deleted
Shared content: If you created a household shared with others, deleting your account removes your personal data and access. Content other members created stays with them. If you are the only member, the entire household is deleted.
Deletion timeline
Your account is deactivated immediately. Personal data is permanently erased from our active systems within 30 days. Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on our normal backup rotation, within 90 days at most. We do not retain your personal data beyond what's needed to complete the deletion or to meet legal obligations.
